Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups quick-cooking oats
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

    1. Step 1 In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until smooth. Beat eggs and then stir in vanilla. Pour over butter mixture and combine. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt; stir into the creamed mixture until just blended. Mix in the quick oats, and chocolate chips. Drop by heaping spoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets. Step 2 Bake for 12 -15 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely
